Good Ol’ Fashioned Love is the debut studio album by British-Irish doo-wop boy band The Overtones. The album was released on 1 November 2010 in the UK by Rhino Entertainment. The album was subsequently re-released on 8 March 2011, containing a number of new tracks. The album peaked at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart and number 14 on the Irish Albums Chart. The album was released in Germany and Austria on 23 March 2012, renamed Gambling Man.

“Welcome Home” is a song made popular by Peters and Lee.
Originally written by Jean Alphonse Dupre and Stanislas Beldone in French and translated into English by Bryan Blackburn, the record was produced by Johnny Franz. Coming after their success in the talent show Opportunity Knocks, Peters and Lee recorded “Welcome Home”, which became the duo’s only number-one single in the UK Singles Chart, spending a week at the top in July 1973. It went on to sell over 800,000 copies in the UK.
The song received minor US crossover, appearing on Billboard’s Bubbling Under The Hot 100, Country charts, and most notably on the Easy Listening chart, where it peaked at number twenty-six.

He was born in Lubbock, Texas, to a musical family during the Great Depression, and learned to play guitar and sing alongside his siblings. His style was influenced by gospel music, country music, and rhythm and blues acts, which he performed in Lubbock with his friends from high school.
